Before applications come in:
1. Decide on the criteria
you will use to select your committee. What are you looking for? Consider things like:
- Previous experience
- Time availability
- Attitude toward work
- Individual characteristics needed for job
- New students to the building Write the qualities out and hand a copy into your advisor.
2. Decide how many committee
members you will need to accomplish your goals.
3. Think about the role that friends will play in your selection process.
Consider this carefully.
4. Put up your recruitment signs around the building.
5. Pass out applications to
specific people you would like to see apply.

7. Complete an upbeat
welcome to your committee letter. Include a little description of committee job, when and where first committee meeting
is, how to contact you an incentive about magazine sale. Turn into advisor for printing.
Committee
Selection Process:
1. All cabinet heads will be staying after school one night to review applications
and select committee members.
2. You will be given the applications of students who put your committee as first choice.
3. Review your committee criteria and number of committee members you are looking for. Remember you will have 2 representatives
added also.
4. Both of you should do a read of the application and put them in piles according to meeting or not meeting
your criteria.
5. Select your committee.
6. For any applications not selected, put a reason next to your committee
name and pass it on to the second choice or third choice or reject pile.
7. Make out your committee roster. (form
attached) Hand in to be duplicated.
8. Make out your acceptance letters and be prepared to hand out the next day during
announcements.
9. If you don't get enough members, check the rejection pile and see if you would like to include any
of those people on your committee.
