Vice Presidents

Job Description:
- Attend Summer Workshop training at one of the PASC Summer Workshop site
or other sites offered with Student Council paying half of the expense
- Register to take Leadership 1 course at NAI
- Attend and encourage attendance at all SC events and functions
- Check in every morning with advisors and other officers in SAO
- Oversee the work and projects of at least ONE SC committee:
- a.Contact cabinet heads on a regular basis
b.Make sure all projects
are carried out in a timely fashion c.Attend all committee meetings and offer your help and ideas d.Help to solve
any problems with committee or cabinet heads
- Attend the activity council meetings monthly and give a written and oral
report about the actions of the committee you oversee
- Attend District conferences in the role of vice president if opportunity
arises
- Chair any meetings the president cannot attend
- Attend bi-monthly meetings of executive board to discuss committees/problems
- Be responsible for registration of delegates to conferences: pass out initial
information, collect registration and money and send out permission forms; talk up all conferences with poster or major points
at a meeting
- Help with the training of the representatives in the fall. Prepare rep folders
at the beginning of the year whenever any changes need to be made
- Review and take charge of the representative files:
- a.At the beginning of the month, meet with advisor to come up with a list
of service checks that each rep may earn each month
b.Post list of service checks on poster in SAO by the first of the
month c.At the end of the month, check each rep file to be sure the amount of rep checks have been met by each rep d.Send
out probation reminders to reps who did not have enough service checks, keep track of reps on probation in VP notebook, keep
advisors informed of probation and announce at SC business meetings e.Keep track of reps who have done an outstanding
job each month f.Write announcements at end of the month reminding reps to fill out files
- Help with elections in the spring at the middle schools
- For every business meeting:
a.Have vice-president report ready on status
of reps b.Bring all rep files to meeting and help set up
School Board Representative - Ross Hacket(10) Job description:
- Bring concerns of all students to the board by attending all meetings deemed
necessary by the board and position. This includes 2 monthly evening meetings.
- Communicate with students in our school to find out student needs and concerns.
- Communicate decisions of the board to all students through publications
and other methods
- Act as a liason and officer in charge of the Student Council Principle Advisory
Committee.
- Communicate concerns of students to advisors and administration prior to
raising them at a board meeting.
- Be an active member of Activity Council representing student leaders concerns
to the board.
- Be responsible for monthly reports at Student Council and Activity Council
meetings.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned.
- The Selection Process:
The applicant must:
- Complete an application and turn in by the deadline.
Secure two
letters of recommendation from teachers. Be interviewed by an administrator, student council advisor and appointed student
council members. Be a 10th grader Agree to attend an informational meeting to learn about the position. Meet all
10th grade officer requirements including: a.Maintain at least a 3.0 QPA b.Attended NAI for at lest 75% of the school
year c.Have previous student council experience in grades 8 or 9 d.Agree to attend summer leadership workshop for
a week and SC pays half the cost e.Agree to schedule Leadership Development class
Recording Secretary - Bobbie Kolarik (10) Job descritpion:
- Take accurate minutes at Executive Board meetings, Business meetings, and
Activity Council meetings
- See that minutes are distributed within a week of the meeting
- Set up all student council files

- Act as an officer to a specific committee and represent that committee
on Activity Council
- Train the incoming Recording Secretary
- Encourage student and staff participation in all student council events
- Attend all student council sponsored events

to members who did not attend and were not excused from meeting, asking them to see advisors
- At business meetings, read any correspondence that comes in and then
post on bulletin board, eventually put in SC scrapbook
- Maintain an up-to-date scrapbook of pictures, newspaper articles, cards,
etc. label each picture with name, date, and event. A new scrapbook is purchased by you in September for this purpose or whenever
one is filled.
- Write any correspondence to go out including thank you notes, cards,
letters, etc. all thank you notes must be mailed or in teacher's mailbox within TWO days of event
- Type any memos that need to be sent out to members
- Attend bi-monthly meetings of executive board to discuss committees, problems
- Help with the elections in the spring at the middle school

Treasurer
- Maria Munsch(10) Job Description:
- Prepare and maintain a budget
- Maintain an up-to-date financial record of the council's activities using
student council ledger
- Provide the council with regular, accurate financial reports at Business
Meetings and when requested
- Carry out all deposits and payments of expenses within three school days
- Meet and work with the bookkeeper on financial records
- Prepare and check all ticket sales boxes and count money
- Act as an officer to a specific committee and represent that committee on
Activity Council
